Enjoyed the world concept and the characters. Also high heat content.However, the book went off the rails around halfway through. Characters and concepts were tossed in as a way to advance the plot.Also, the monologues of characters explain it their tragic background were horrible.I would suggest the author get a good editor to tighten things up. Getting rid of the prologue, either introducing characters early on or doing an internal book one/book two set up where characters have to find the character that solves everything instead of it just being plopped in with no previous hints at all might help.Also the prologue had zero purpose.Things also dragged on a lot longer than necessary.I would try another book from this author but I hope they tighten up their writing.
